The Quebec Circuit number 2 was held in Laval over the weekend of November 19 and 20.

A few GTTA players decided to test their skills at the 200+ participants tournament. For some, it was their first tournament, for some others was an opportunity to gain experience while for others it was winning the top prize.

Howard Chen was the most successful player by winning the Open category in singles on Saturday and then, winning the team events on Sunday together with Shiwen Zhang also of the GTTA. At the previous Quebec Circuit in October Howard showed promise by reaching the final but this time he took the top honors.

Shiwen Zhang, with her limited training reached the semis of the Open on Saturday and won the team event with Howard the following day.

Also a great performance was from Sabrina Chen who teamed up with her Ontario Team colleague Joyce Xu of Toronto to reach the final of the team event.

Maggie Jin is moving up in the rating following her great win in the U-500 category. Even though she was a favorite in the category she still had to actually win it in order to prove herself, which she did. Congratulations to her.
