For many people it was just another edition of the Quebec Circuit but for some of the GTTA players it was something more than that…for some it was their first competition while for others it was earning their first gold medal.
All in all there were 7 players from the GTTA who made the trip from Ottawa to Laval to attend the Quebec Circuit #2. Innel and Malek Yahi were the more seasoned players, Alice Jiang a new comer to the GTTA and her first tournament in Canada, Rickey Deng and Judy Zhong in their second tournament of their table tennis career while Maggie Jin and Richard Xi in their first tournament of their table tennis career.
Everyone had their own little success stories to tell but for Maggie and Rickey it was earning their first gold medal in a competition.
Maggie won the U 11 girls category while Rickey won two gold medals in the U 11 boys and the 0-250 category.
Daniel Lu had a very good tournament as well by getting a silver medal in the U 11 right behind Rickey.
Richard Xi got a bronze medal in his first tournament while in the 0-250 category Maggie added a bronze medal to her previously earned gold medal.
